Cut and Dyed Leather
Not a self portrait, but inspired by an ancestor who lived the life of a seaman. There are watchful eyes in the sky over this man. Also, fragments of my then personal struggle are scattered throughout this piece in words.
The third in a series of collages, painstakingly arranged from leather that was tooled and stained, in a unique fashion, before being cut into individual strips.
